There is a known problem with RealPlayer and RealOne Player and certain video cards. If you are experiencing problems (e.g. intermittent or stalled video) with the RealPlayer streaming video, we suggest you try disabling the "Optimized Video" setting in RealPlayer. Instructions are as follows:

Note: To find which RealOne Player build you have installed, open RealOne Player and click the Help menu and select About RealPlayer.



RealOne Player (Build 6.0.11 or greater)

  1. Close the window containing the streaming video
  2. Start RealOne Player
  3. Click the Tools menu and select Preferences.
  4. Click on the Hardware category
  5. Under Video Card Compatibility, move the slide bar from its right position to the left position (disable optimized video and overlays).
  6. Click OK
  7. Try playing the streaming video again

RealOne Player (Build 6.0.10 or less)

  1. Close the window containing the streaming video
  2. Start RealOne Player
  3. Click the Tools menu and select Preferences.
  4. Click on the Hardware category
  5. Uncheck the "Use optimized video display" box in the Video Card Compatibility section.
  6. Click OK
  7. Try playing the streaming video again

RealPlayer 8

  1. Close the window containing the streaming video
  2. Start RealPlayer
  3. Click the View menu and choose Preferences
  4. Click the Performance tab
  5. Click to clear the "Use optimized video display" check box in the Video card compatibility section
  6. Click OK
  7. Try playing the streaming video again
