This slide set is designed to be used with activity 6A in Think Like a Microbiologist Teacher’s Guide, and activity 11 in Super STEM Sleuths: 1 Teacher’s Guide.
Note
The use of photography was not widespread until the late 1800s and early 1900s. Photos used in this slide set serve only to illustrate living conditions in London slum areas, and not specifically Soho in 1854 (slides 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12).
